The Legend 50 Dragon is a traditional 2.5:1 parallel medium tackle tube bait. It is keel-weighted and designed to stick in on rough days for longer than other traditional tube baits. With its slightly shorter head the Dragon is very noisy and a real ‘sprayer’ and has less tendency to roll with its squat form. This is a real bonus for the first time ‘tuber'! Since its introduction in 2008, the Dragon has proved immensely popular in New Zealand and Australia, and it is a great favorite in Africa too. It seems to be becoming just as popular in the Atlantic! Designed mainly to be run off the rod tip in the long corner position, the Dragon can also be used as a short bait and in calm weather, it can also be run off the riggers, especially the long rigger on slow days when it might generate the only fish of the day. The Dragon can take 700lbs mono and it can be used with either a single or a double hook rig, though it probably performs best with a single 9/0. It can swim at speeds up to 9 knots or so.
